SEAFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND ISSUE

Seaford School Board Trustees, Bradley Kass and John Del Giudice and Superintendent of Schools Thomas Markle were the featured program speakers at the November 6, 2007 Seaford Lions Club regular meeting. They presented a comprehensive review of the proposed capital improvement program to be voted on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 by the school district residents. This nearly 22 million dollar bond issue will be backed by 62 percent of State aid and will be used to make much needed repairs and upgrades to the existing four school buildings. The Seaford Lions Club has frequently scheduled programs to keep the members informed of community activities. As part of the largest service organization in the world, Lions Clubs International, the Seaford Club, chartered in 1952, is the oldest service club in continuous active support of many community needs. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact us at SEAFORDLIONS@AOL.COM and be sure to visit our website WWW.SEAFORDLIONS.ORG.

Our Recent Seaford Lions Scholarship Recipients

Lion Charles Wroblewski was named our Club's "Lion of the Year". Shown here receiving award from Lion Larry Roxbury Club Secretary. Presentation was made at the Installation/Testimonial Dinner June 12, 2007.

Once again the Club carried out a long standing tradition by participating in the annual Memorial Day Parade hosted by the Seaford American Legion Post. Two Boy Scouts from the troop that we sponsor carried our American and Lions Flags, Lion Charlie Wroblewski and Lion Don Paulson carried the Lions Marching Banner. Also in the line of march were Lions Christine Paulson and Rich McArdle and Larry Roxbury. Lion Howie Ross drove the Lions Staff Car and Lion Frank Van Dyke was a passenger.
Here is our contingent behind our marching banner near the Four Chaplains Monument by the Seaford Middle School where the parade terminates.

The Wantagh/Seaford Citizen ran this photo/article in the May 24, 2007 issue.

One of our own members Lion Grace Pommersheim is seen and mentioned in this photo captioned article about our Seaford Public Library.

Seaford Lions Club Annual

Blood Drive for February 3, 2007

Thanks to Co-Chair persons of our Seaford Community Blood Drive, Lions Don & Christine Paulson helped to collect 210 Pints of Life Saving Blood!

THANK YOU!

Donating blood is literally giving the gift of life. Each day, New York Blood Centers needs close to 2,000 people a day to roll up their sleeves to give the gift of life. There is simply no substitute for voluntarily donated blood.

Without volunteer donors, our community would not have an adequate community blood supply. Click here for Blood Donation Facts
